Frederick Phillips, FAIA

Principal

Frederick Phillips, founder and principal of Frederick Phillips and Associates, received a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He founded Frederick Phillips & Associates in Chicago, Illinois, after apprenticing for two years with Harry Weese. His work has consistently enjoyed extensive publication in books and periodicals, and received many awards.

Phillip’s current projects include Deerpath Farm, a 200-acre residential conservation development near Chicago, and various site-built and manufactured houses in the United States and abroad. He also teaches an advanced design studio at the Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture which focuses on developing green and economical manufactured housing solutions for urban renovation.
