Winner of the 2012 American Architecture Award

These unique floating Pavilions were designed for Chicago’s 2016 Olympics bid. The floating structures would allow visitors to experience live Olympic events in public via large-screen TVs. The modular structures were to be initially set afloat in downtown Chicago’s Burnham Harbor, could be arranged in multiple configurations, and would be sized for easy waterway transport to other locations. This project received the 2012 American Architecture Award (Chicago Athenaeum and European Center for Art Architecture and Design).
